Birthday Girl!!

The cake was a big hit. Unfortunately, so was the mermaid on the cake. 15 girls arguing over who gets to eat the mermaid was not only...um...frustrating it was also a little morbid! HA!

Clay and I got Laura Grace her first American Girl doll! We chose one that looks just like Laura Grace. She was thrilled!

The pinata. I went all over creation searching for one. I will never, ever do a pinata again. A child swinging with a bat at a swinging object while all the other children are running around screaming...not pretty.

Laura Grace's, Aunt Barbara, saved the girls from concussions. She is a former school teacher and immediately used her teacher's voice to get them all in an orderly line.

It didn't remain orderly for long. I don't remember what child actually...okay, FINALLY...busted the pinata but it was mass chaos after that.

Of course, the chaos was all worth it. Laura Grace had a wonderful party and is now seven years old! It is hard to believe!!

Wizard of Oz!!

This summer, Laura Grace took part in our local childrens' production of the "Wizard of Oz".

She was in the Lullaby League (the munchkins that sing to Dorothy when she lands in Oz). She did a great job and we are very proud of her!

Last night, over 700 people came to watch the show. Tonight, we are expecting the same numbers! I am so proud of all the hours the kids (and adults) put into this production. They worked their behinds off all summer.

Layton was very impressed with the entire production. During the tornado he said, "Wow! This is serious!"

We left Will at home with a babysitter so we could enjoy spending time with our "big kids". We took them out for ice cream afterwards to celebrate Laura Grace's hard work!

We have a walker!!

Last night, Will decided to start walking. First, he let go of a chair and took two steps. He fell and crawled back to the chair. He pulled back up, let go, and stood there grinning at me and Clay as we yelled and clapped. He then took two shaky steps towards us. We were so proud!

He also has two teeth! Finally!

Family 2010

10 Months Old!!

I can't believe I am 10 months old! I keep insisting I am older. These days I am as busy as always. The bathroom and Layton's room are my favorite places. I love to play in the toilet and climb on top of the train table. I have also shaken the train table so hard that it fell apart. My daddy fixed it, but I keep trying to shake it apart again. In fact, grabbing on to things and shaking them is my favorite thing to do!

I have learned how to stand up without holding on to anything. My legs are still too unsteady to take steps, but I am working on it! I have learned to play patty cake, give high fives, and pinch when I am angry. I also growl when I pinch and everyone laughs but I have a feeling I will not be getting away with it for much longer. I crawl around really fast and when I think someone is going to pick me up, I fuss at them. I am too busy to be held most of the time. However, when I am ready to be picked up I let everyone know. I am very loud. I reward them by giving big kisses and hugs.

I am 24 pounds and getting tall. I am wearing a size 3 diaper, 12 month clothes, and look very...healthy. I am eating all table food. Last week I decided that I don't like baby food anymore. This was right after Mommy had just bought me a bunch. She loved that. My favorite food right now is scrambled eggs. The only vegetable I will eat right now is mashed potatoes. It is all about the carbs with me.

I am sleeping better at night-I go to bed around 7, wake up at 12 for a bottle and then sleep until 5. Most nights. There are still nights that I wake up in between 12 and 5 but those are getting few and far in between. I take 2 naps a day-one at 9 and the other around 1.

I am growing fast!!
