Stop pumping the extra milk. If you continue to express milk, your body will think it is being used for the baby and will thus make more. If engorgement is a problem, express a tiny amount just to help relieve it.
or you could continue to express some extra milk to freeze for later.
and of course.... wear pads so you don't leak all over your clothes. (so embarrassing!)
Will quite possibly went through a growth spurt within the last week or so and he is now cutting back on the amount he needs.
Good luck! I've probably not said anything you didn't already know, but I thought I'd try.
Completely agree with Valerie, you need to stop pumping all of that extra milk. You are telling your body that you are feeding twins or triplets. Don't let yourself get really engorged so you can gradually decrease the amount you pump.
Use ice packs and maybe even cabbage leaves (put the raw, cold leaves inside your bra and change out for new ones when they get warm and limp) in between feedings. Use the cabbage very carefully because it WILL decrease your supply- I don't want you going too far in the other direction.
I hope this helps. You can message me or call if you have more questions.

I was going to say exactly the same as Valerie - although a little extra each time might be good later! :)
I agree with Valerie. Nursing is supply and demand. The more you pump, the more milk you'll make. If it gets unbearable, try taking a hot shower. You'll leak, but not lose that many ounces, and feel some relief.
I had the same problem. I used to hold a glass under the breast that wasn't being nursed, and milk would just POUR into the glass while my babies nursed. It wasn't the same as pumping, though.
i had that problem with just one breast...odd I know....but I pumped the heck out of it and froze alot of it so Scott or my mom had it for when I was gone.....and for the times you are gone...you know you cant be gone for more that 3 hrs at a time while being a breast feeding parent..unless you plan on dragging your pump with you...also...express in the shower..I did this alot....good luck...it will cease int he months ahead...I''m glad you are nursing..
I (theoretically) agree with the others to stop pumping, but it's hard when it hurts so much!
I didn't have this issue, but my best friend had prepared me for it pre-baby. She suggested cabbage leaves in the bra and packages of frozen peas to ease the pain!
good luck!
